 About Me

Jennifer Blankley, MS OTR/L, ACAS, founder of Educate About Autism. A mom of three, an Occupational Therapist, and an Advanced Certified Autism Specialist. She holds an Educational Leader Supervisory Certificate through the New Jersey Department of Education - To stand as both Director of Special Education and Curriculum Leader. She has worked as an Occupational Therapist and Developmental Interventionist for the New Jersey Early Intervention Program, working with newborns and toddlers. She has also worked in over seventeen schools with children enrolled in the 3 year old preschool disability program through all grade levels including transitioning high school students with varying disabilities. She is the owner and CEO of On The SPOT Therapy Center, LLC located in Marmora, NJ. She has worked in supporting education, taught workshops and helped hundreds of children and their families to improve their lives.  She considers herself an educator collaborator, a teacher of teachers and a family peacemaker. Jennifer is a passionate advocate and resource guru! After the challenges of virtual therapy due to COVID-19 and a spinal cord injury in 2020, her recovery led her to a renewed passion of advocating and sharing resources with the parents that truly need them. She is excited to share her experience and passion to help your family now!

Mission

Educate About Autism provides strategies and tools grounded on experience, evidence-based and practical methods that can support children and their families diagnosed with Autism and Sensory Processing Disorder. Educate About Autism is not only about Autism but also serves and supports infants to young adults with a SPD and other Sensory Processing challenges as a therapeutic activity resource center. We focus our treatments and interactions with clients using the application of evidence-based knowledge and skills to assist clients to engage in everyday activities or occupations that are motivating in a method that supports their health, well-being, and participation in life.

Vision

We endeavor to promote better functioning and satisfaction in each child’s personal interests, school, families and in their peer relationships. When working with families and children, we aspire to strengthen emotional bonds and improve communication. We strive to provide quality, effective, empathic treatment to the whole person. Our goal is to guide individuals, and families toward better functioning in all areas of their lives.
